I wanted to write and add my support for this Charter, as the current Mayor of Bridgwater and a regular cyclist, it is easy for me to agree with the aims of this charter, anything we can do to encourage people to take exercise while benefiting from our town has to be welcomed, Bridgwater has history at every turn, our town has been evolving and growing in many ways, I welcome opportunities to build both our history trails and ways for cyclists or pedestrians to move freely in safe and diverse journeys across growing infrastructure routes.

Councillor Leigh Redman – Somerset County Council
