No doubt you know all about our first ever Kidical Mass ride in Bridgwater earlier this year. With it having been such a stunning success, we are keen to build on that and keep the momentum going.
Kidical Mass is an important demonstration. It’s a global movement that encourages families and people of all ages to come together en masse in a fun protest, to ask for streets that are safer for everyone.
On Saturday 23rd September as part of another Global Kidical Mass Action Weekend, you can take part in a short circular route from Blake Gardens, starting at 11am. It should last about 45 minutes, and as before, will be fully marshalled for your safety.
“Kidical Mass is a fantastic fun way of making a serious point. We used to play in the street as kids, but would you let your kids play in the streets today? We’re not anti-car by any means, but in recent decades our towns and cities have become too car-centric, without enough safe spaces for walking, scooting, playing and cycling. Kidical Mass highlights the joys of family cycling as well as drawing attention to the lack of safe provision.”
