Those of you who’ve been following us for a while might remember our Active Travel Days in 2022 and 2023, hosted by us and Bridgwater Town Council at the Town Hall.
This year, the event has moved outdoors… of course! It just makes sense that if we want to encourage people to be more active and get outside, that the event should be hosted outdoors… so that’s exactly what we’ve done!
The focus this year is less about transport and more about fun – getting you and your family out and about, enjoying a more active lifestyle. As part of this, we are hosting not one but two free family bike rides on the day. These are short guided circular routes on mostly traffic-free paths. It’ll be the same route twice – once at 11am, and again at 1pm. Places are limited, so make sure you book yours here.
As well as our rides, On Your Bike will be offering their ever-popular Dr Bike sessions – if your bike needs a little TLC, drop by and get it tuned up ready for the ride! Free of charge!
Besides all the bike-related shenanigans, there’ll be loads of other fun stuff going on from the likes of Bridgwater United Football Club and A&L inflatables, as well as a treasure hunt for the kids. The Blake Museum will be providing refreshments throughout the day, too.
The event takes place at Blake Gardens on Sunday 14th July from 11 am till 2 pm. Can’t wait to see you there!
