Why walk?

If you’re used to driving to work, then walking can seem like an unnecessary effort.

But it comes with a host of benefits, not least to your mental and physical health, but also for the environment.

Here’s what Rachel had to say about the transformative effect it’s had on her commute:

“I have been walking to and from work for a while now.

Just worked out that is 750 calories a week – nearly 38,000 a year!

And that doesn’t even begin to cover the boost of being outside, the calmness it brings as well as the benefits of walking to your overall fitness and strength.

And of course to the environment and your fuel spend too!

If you are luckily enough to work within walking distance, or even cycling distance, give it a go. I wish I started years ago!”
