Many of you will have seen the news recently that a new path has been built connecting Express Park to Saltlands Avenue. Bridgwater Area Cycling Campaign have worked hard behind the scenes on this project, offering input to Somerset County Council in terms of the design.

The route forms an important part of the north-south corridor for active travel in Bridgwater. Ultimately, we want to see far more people able to use active travel in their daily lives, so creating better, safer routes is fundamental to that.

This new route offers a safe alternative to cycling along Bristol Road which, at some points, is especially hazardous for cyclists.
