Bridgwater Area Cycling Campaign (BACC) is a local group working together to promote better transport routes for pedestrians, bicycle riders and other vulnerable road users. If more people cycle and walk, there will be fewer cars trying to move around the area. It’s a win-win!
We will work with our partners to create a safer environment that all people can enjoy. We want to remove the fear of the road.
We will raise awareness of our work through a range of media and build good relationships in our community.
Through local knowledge and audit information we will influence improvements to new and existing routes, mapping and signage.
We will promote the benefits of physical activity. Walking and cycling is healthy and should be encouraged.
BACC is working with local communities plus district and national organisations including:
- Somerset County Council
- Sedgemoor District Council
- Bridgwater Town Council
The areas we cover
BACC supporters come from Bridgwater and the surrounding villages and towns: from North Petherton and Cannington up to Highbridge and Burnham and the Polden villages.
